Owners of Chrysler, Cerberus Captal Management are talking internally about selling off the Viper brand.
Since the take-over from Daimler Chrysler in 2007, Cerberus has been taking extreme measure grabbing the company by the horns by cost-cutting, announcing closing assembly plants, reducing model line-ups and overhauling the image of the company from the road up.
Next on the agenda is their hero sports car, the 4 second V10 2-seater Viper is for sale.
The following brands are unlikely to be on the buyer's list as their cars include:
"Viper is an integral part of this Company’s heritage. While this is a strategic review, our intent would be to offer strong operational and financial support during any potential transaction, in order to ensure a future for the Viper business and perpetuate the legacy of this great vehicle."
Who's going to buy the Viper brand and turn it into a profitable business?
